Prayagraj: Inaugural ceremony of the week-long foundation day celebrations of Dr Rajendra Prasad National Law University commenced on Monday. Chief guest was attended by Prof Srikrishna Deva Rao, Vice-Chancellor of NALSAR University of Law, while Prof Sanjay Deshmukh, former Vice-Chancellor of MumbaiUniversity, was guest of honour. The programme was presided over by Prof Usha Tandon, Vice-Chancellor of RPNLU. The ceremony began with lighting of lamp and felicitation of distinguished guests for their contributions to legal education. Prof Tandon highlighted the University’s progress and its focus on student-centric learning, research, legal aid and community engagement. Prof Rao stressed academic discipline, ethical values and experiential learning, sharing “7 Mantras” to guide students towards responsible legal practice. Prof Deshmukh congratulated the institution and spoke about 7 pathways for institutional growth.
