Chennai: A 30-year-old techie died by suicide at her house in west Tambaram on Tuesday morning. Abinaya was employed at an IT firm in Siruseri and had married Arun Kumar, an assistant medical officer at ESI hospital, Kodambakkam, on Nov 30 last year. The marriage was arranged by their parents. Police said frequent quarrels arose between the couple as they suspected each other of infidelity. On Feb 14, at around 12.30am, Arun Kumar saw Abinaya busy on her phone and voiced his suspicion, leading to an argument. On Tuesday morning, Arun Kumar left for work. Later, he called his father Shanmuganathan and asked him to check on Abinaya. When Shanmuganathan went to the house, he found Abinaya hanging.The body was sent to Tambaram GH for postmortem. Abinaya’s mother lodged a complaint expressing suspicion over the death. Police registered a case.
