SP Narendra Singh Meena said the action was part of the Drug Free Barmer campaign. Acting on a tip-off received by a DST constable, a team led by Dhorimanna SHO Deepsingh raided the house located amid sand dunes. Inputs suggested Sohanlal, along with Surendra, son of Tejaram Vishnoi and another person, had recently brought drums of prohibited chemicals and equipment to set up an MD manufacturing unit.A case has been registered at Dhorimanna police station under various sections of the NDPS Act against Sohanlal, Surendra and an unidentified person. Efforts are on to trace the accused.Officials said this is the fifth MD manufacturing unit detected in Barmer district, following similar actions in Ramsar, Sedwa, Adarsh Chawa and Bhairudi villages over the past two years.
