YEIDA makes Rs 389cr from e-auction of plots near NIA

Noida: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has generated a total of Rs 389 crore from the e-auction of three group housing plots measuring around 13 acres in total. The combined reserve price of the three plots was Rs 283 crore and the final bids exceeded it by about Rs 106 crore, increasing the authority’s total revenue from the auction, on Friday. Provence Developers secured a plot with a bid of Rs 95 crore, while Eldeco Infrastructure & Properties quoted Rs 105 crore. Northwind Estate placed the highest bid at Rs 189 crore. With these three, the total number of group housing plots allotted since 2024 rose to 11. Officials said the latest e-auction reflected “renewed traction” in the residential segment around the upcoming Noida International Airport. The authority expected that nearly 10,000 flats would be developed across these newly allotted group housing plots, largely concentrated in Sector 22D of Yamuna City. Construction of highrise residential societies was expected to begin in phases after necessary approvals.Since 2024, YEIDA allotted eight group housing plots prior to the latest auction. Developers who secured land during this period included Purvanchal Projects, Gaurs Group, Arihant Group, Eldeco Infrastructure & Properties Ltd and Vibhor Vaibhav Infrahome. In some cases, developers were allotted more than one parcel. The land parcels varied in size, ranging from around 20,000 sqm to over 52,000 sqm, indicating a mix of medium- and large-scale residential projects. The renewed allotment drive came after a gap of nearly 13 years. The last major group housing scheme in the area was launched in 2011. With the addition of the 11 plots allotted since 2024, the total number of group housing projects in Yamuna City increased to 19. However, several earlier projects remained incomplete and some were undergoing insolvency proceedings before National Company Law Tribunal, leaving a section of homebuyers awaiting possession.According to YEIDA, more than 30,000 residential plots were allotted under various housing schemes so far, while over 1,100 allottees obtained completion certificates. Officials from the Authority said that with airport operations approaching, it was prioritising residential densification alongside industrial and commercial expansion to ensure balanced urban growth.
