Temple cook dies by suicide in Patna City

Patna: A 30-year-old cook working at the famous Jalla Hanuman Temple in Patna City died by suicide by hanging himself in his room on Monday afternoon. The deceased was identified as Ram Mangal Ram, a resident of Buxar district.According to the temple management, he went to rest after lunch but did not return for a long time. When colleagues checked through the window, they found him hanging from the ceiling.The Bypass police reached the spot, broke open the locked door, and sent the body for postmortem. Temple authorities said Ram Mangal Ram had been transferred to the Jalla Hanuman Temple from the main Hanuman Temple in Patna just a few days ago.Bypass police station in-charge Ranjit Kumar said that prima facie it appears to be a case of suicide. “A thorough investigation is underway to ascertain the reasons behind the extreme step,” he added.3 cyber frauds arrested: Police arrested three cyber criminals involved in organised online fraud and illegal ATM withdrawals from the Musallahpur police station area in Patna on Monday. The accused—Sonu Kumar (Patna), Balaji (Bhojpur), and Niranjan Sharma (Rajasthan)—were caught during a raid on Sunday night.Police recovered 17 ATM cards, 19 SIM cards, seven cellphones, a motorcycle, and barcode documents of various companies from their possession. Acting on a tip-off about a planned cyber fraud, City SP (East) Parichay Kumar formed a special team that conducted the raid and arrested the accused.
