Ahmedabad: A 55-year-old man was allegedly stabbed to death by his son-in-law in Narol late on Saturday, following a dispute over the victim’s daughter not returning to her matrimonial home. The accused remained at large until Sunday evening, police said.The accused is Ibrahim Mansuri, police said. His wife had been staying at her parental home for the past 10 days as her mother and sister-in-law were unwell. When she did not return, Ibrahim went to his in-laws’ house on Saturday night and allegedly created a scene.
Family members said the victim, Aziz Mansuri, intervened and objected to Ibrahim’s behaviour. After a brief argument, Ibrahim left the spot. About 30 minutes later, he returned with two associates. The trio allegedly began abusing Aziz outside the house, triggering another confrontation. Investigators said Ibrahim pulled out a knife and stabbed his father-in-law. Even after Aziz fell to the ground, the accused kicked him before fleeing. tnn
