Lucknow: Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak and Jal Shakti minister Swatantra Dev Singh inaugurated the four-day exhibition, Samagam 2026, organised by the Indian Institute of Interior Designers (IIID) at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Friday. The exhibition brought together leading architects, engineers, and interior designers from India and abroad. Pathak said, “Trees should be planted around homes, and rooftop rainwater harvesting must be implemented. Adequate lighting and ventilation should be ensured so that electricity use is minimized.” Swatantra Dev Singh said, “Architects and designers should build homes with nature in mind, integrating eco-friendly practices into design and construction.” Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan said, “IIID Samagam 2026 is a unique event. Architecture of Lucknow is historic and it was wonderful to meet the architects and interior designers shaping the future of the city.” Dignitaries such as Lucknow Region chairperson Aviral Agarwal, vice chairman Rajiv Agarwal, former chairman Prasenjit Sanyal, Malaysian architect Lilian Te and former chairman Sandeep Saraswat were also present on the occasion.
