Varanasi: The All India Padma Shri Mohammad Shahid Invitation Prize Money Men’s Hockey Competition will be played from Feb 17 to 24 at Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Sports Complex, Bada Lalpur.Organising secretary RSO Vimla Singh said on Friday that 12 teams from the country will compete for the title in this competition. The matches will be played on a league-cum-knockout basis. The winning team will receive Rs 2 lakh, and the runner-up team will receive Rs 1 lakh as prize money. The third-placed team will receive Rs 50,000.
Over 12 international players, including Olympian Lalit Upadhyay, will showcase their game for various teams. TNN
