Verna cops file case over road obstruction at Arossim

Vasco: Verna police have registered an offence against six persons and other accomplices for allegedly forming an unlawful assembly to block access to a hotel project at Arossim by constructing an illegal wall on a public road. The incident reportedly occurred between Feb 8 and 10.According to the complaint filed by Arossim resident Bernard Dias, Jose Joaquim Ferandes, Simao D’Silva, Darick Azavedo, Macklin Rodrigues, Alex Azavedo, Benny D’Silva, and others blocked access to his hotel project by building a wall on a public road, causing unauthorised damage and alteration of public property.It was further alleged that when workers of Dias objected, the accused persons abused them in filthy language and threatened them with dire consequences, including death threats.PSI Mahesh Bhomkar is further investigating the case under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar.
