The footage shows six young men entering the colony lanes in the dead of night, stopping outside houses and peering through gates as if surveying potential targets. Residents alleged that when stray dogs began barking, the suspects pelted stones at them and continued moving around without interruption.“If six people can walk around a residential colony at nearly 3 am and conduct a recce without fear, it clearly shows that night patrolling is either absent or ineffective,” said a resident. Members of the Sarvodaya Vikas Samiti submitted a written complaint to the Indiranagar SHO, demanding intensified night patrols, fixed police rounds and concrete security measures to prevent any untoward incident.
