Chennai: AIADMK has alleged that chief minister M K Stalin‘s “Team Tamil Nadu vs Team Delhi” narrative was a diversion tactic ahead of the polls.Deputy leader of opposition R B Udhayakumar on Thursday called the CM’s remark at the DMK booth agents’ conference that “TN will be ruled by Delhi if AIADMK was voted to power”, a political gimmick to deceive the people of Tamil Nadu. It would be a “people’s govt” if AIADMK was voted to power, he said.
Udhayakumar said in a video that the people of TN have decided to end the “dynastic politics” and back AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami to form the “people’s govt”. “Stalin will realise this truth when the election verdict is out,” he said.Even as Udhayakumar flayed Stalin, another senior AIADMK leader Dindigul C Sreenivasan said the “Delhi govt” remark need not be taken seriously. “Even if it’s Delhi govt, let it be,” he told reporters arguing that the state depends on the centre for railway and development projects.
