Pipeline contractor will not pay, Ajay Chandrakar raised the issue

Raipur. The action of Chhattisgarh Assembly continues. On the third day, during the Question Hour in the House, the issue of water life mission was heated. BJP MLA from Kurud Ajay Chandrakar sought information about such villages under the Water Life Mission, where the tank and pipeline were laid despite not being water sources. In response, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said that 653 where there is no water source and the tank and pipeline were built there.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that when the DPC of the scheme was done, there was a system of water source in each villages during that time, but due to the delay in the start of the scheme, this problem has come. He also told that this scheme was in 2019, but the work of water source started in 2023, due to which there was more problem.

Ajay Chandrakar, the allegation of the party’s veteran leader, asked the question that what action has been taken against the officials who laid the pipeline without water and built the tank without water source. In response, the Deputy CM assured the House that no contractor would be paid more than 70 percent in this case. Until the plan is complete, no contractor will be paid. At the same time, strict action will be taken against all the officers who built the tank without water source and laid the pipeline. In the House, the Deputy Chief Minister informed that the work of tap connection in 5291 villages has been completed. Arun Saw told in the House that this time the central government has expanded the scheme till 2028 in the budget. The implementation of the scheme will be completed in the state within the stipulated time.
