At 14 degrees, Bengaluru sees dip in night temp

Bengaluru: The city recorded a sharp dip in night temperature Wednesday, marking one of the coldest Feb nights in recent years.According to sources in India Meteorological Department (IMD), Bengaluru’s minimum temperature typically does not fall below 15°C in Feb. However, the city registered a minimum temperature of 14.4°C Wednesday night.

The chill was more palpable in other parts of the city, with HAL Airport recording 12.9°C and Kempegowda International Airport logging 12.8°C. IMD scientists said minimum temperatures have been 2–3°C below normal for Feb, making the dip unusual for this time of year.
