Kanpur: Some unidentified miscreants bombed a man’s house and set his car on fire in Rawatpur police station area of Kanpur late on Wednesday night, said police. A wall of the house was damaged in the blast.DCP West SM Qasim Abidi said an investigation has been initiated and search for the accused was under way. According to the police, a minor dispute or enmity is suspected to be the cause behind the attack. Eyewitnesses said that the miscreants carried out the incident in a planned manner. According to information, the miscreants threw a bomb at the man’s house damaging a wall of the house. They then set the car parked outside the house on fire by pouring petrol. The flames engulfed the car causing severe damage. Hearing the explosion, people came out of their houses, however, the accused fled the scene by then. On being alerted by the locals, police reached the spot and inspected the crime scene. The forensic team collected evidence. Police said they were investigating all aspects.
