Pune: BJP is likely to oppose the PMC’s proposed property tax hike.“We will see what other options can be explored for revenue generation. Initially, the plan was to increase it by 10% to “boost revenue”. The 5% hike was proposed following opposition from citizens’ groups.Demand to shift Kalakar KattaBJP corporator from the Deccan area Sunil Pande demanded to shift the ‘Kalakar Katta’ (artists’ corner) from the Gopalkrishna Gokhale (Goodluck) Chowk area. He gave a letter to the civic administration saying it was causing traffic jams.“Residents claimed it was causing a nuisance in a peaceful neighbourhood.
