Physiotherapist’s flat burgled in Ambawadi

Ahmedabad: A burglar fled with cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.48 lakh from a physiotherapist’s rented apartment in Ambawadi while she was away attending to a patient, Ellisbridge police said on Tuesday.According to the complaint filed on Feb 11 by a physiotherapist residing, the theft took place on Feb 9 between 3pm and 9.45pm.The complainent told the police that she locked her flat and went to visit a patient in Chandranagar area in the afternoon. When she returned home around 9.45pm, she found the door latch broken and the main door ajar. On entering the house, she found household items scattered on the floor and that the wooden cupboard had been forced open.The complainant stated that Rs 1.46 lakh in cash, a silver bracelet worth Rs 2,000 and two gold bangles were missing from the cupboard. Police have registered a case of house break-in and are investigating the case.
