Two more arrested in ITI student assault case

Prayagraj: A joint team of Kareli police and the Special Operations Group (SOG) on Thursday arrested two more accused in connection with an ITI student assault case.Those arrested were identified as Mohd Umar (19) and Saif (19) of Kasari Masari. Police also seized the car that was used in the crime. So far, 3 of the 5 accused have been arrested. Police said a group of 5 miscreants allegedly assaulted a student hailing from Tulsipur (Kareli) and was pursuing his studies at ITI, Jhalwa, over a parking issue near C Block, Malviya Samosa on Feb 8. The miscreants allegedly dragged the student into their car on Feb 9 and thrashed him severely before leaving him near a roadside corner. Following the incident, an FIR under appropriate sections of BNS was registered.
