Bengaluru: Shocking Murder, Road Rage, Bandh Normalcy

Trouble began around 12.30pm Wednesday when Suresh abused goods vehicle driver Nanjunda for not giving way near Trinity Junction. After using filthy words, Suresh drove away. However, both vehicles stopped at the next signal, waiting for the green light. A flower vendor, Nanjunda was driving back to his Tyagarajanagar home after purchasing flowers at Hoskote. “I felt humiliated after the abuse. So, demanding an explanation, I went near Suresh’s car window. Instead of replying to me, he tried to drive away. I stood in front of his car in a bid to stop him. To my shock, he drove and I fell on the bonnet. As the car gained pace, I clutched on to the wipers, requesting Suresh to stop. Even other commuters shouted at him, saying I would die if I fell. After he drove on for nearly 1km, other commuters blocked the car, forcing Suresh to stop. I alighted and took him to task,” Nanjunda told police.
