The Nank Clip Super clip-on earphones have a comfy open-ear design, solid sound and long battery life. These clip-on style earbuds are becoming increasingly popular, and many big brands have released their own versions, but none are as affordable as the Cip Super.

The Clip Super does away with conventional in-ear tips and opts for an open-ear clip style that sits just outside the ear. At only about 5.1 g per bud, they are astonishingly light and barely noticeable over long periods.

Build quality feels good for the price, with a mix of silicone-coated clips and lightweight plastic that resists sweat and rain thanks to an IPX5 rating. The earbuds come with a compact charging case that fits easily in a pocket or bag without feeling bulky. The case has a leather-textured bottom half and a matte finish on the lid.

Comfort and fit

The Clip Super earbuds are comfortable to wear because they do not sit in the ear canal, helping avoid pressure build-up and irritation that can come with extended listening sessions. The ergonomic clip grips gently yet securely, so they remain stable during a walk or workout without discomfort.

For everyday use, especially around the house, the open-ear design feels freeing. You stay aware of your surroundings while still enjoying your audio, which is ideal for listening while tidying up or making coffee without missing a doorbell or conversation.

Features

The Clip Super feature Bluetooth 5.4, and I didn’t notice any dropouts during my testing. Dual microphones with AI-enhanced call noise cancellation make calls surprisingly clear for open-ear buds, even in the presence of background chatter or wind.

Controls are touch-based and intuitive, letting you manage playback, calls and voice assistant prompts without reaching for your phone.

There’s no dedicated Nank app for deep customisation or EQ tweaking, which might disappoint audio tinkerers. However, the clip-on design and overall sound tuning feel well-balanced from the start, so many users will not miss app-based EQ controls. You can also use the built-in EQ in your music app to fine-tune the sound.

There are also no wear detection sensors, so the audio will not pause when you remove an earbud, and there is no wireless charging. These are small compromises to hit such a low price point.

Battery life

From a single charge, you can expect about eight hours of playtime, and the charging case extends that to roughly 32 hours overall. In real-world use, this means you can comfortably get through multiple workouts, commutes and day-long listening without hunting for a charger.

Sound quality

For clip-on earphones, the sound quality is decent, especially at this price, but it is not on the same level as flagship models. The 16.2mm ceramic composite diaphragms deliver a surprisingly broad soundstage, with solid depth in the low end and good clarity through midrange and treble. Again, it is important to keep your expectations in line with the price and the fact that these are open earbuds.

While open-ear designs naturally let ambient noise in, that awareness can be a benefit when you want to stay tuned to your surroundings during runs or walks. These are so inexpensive; I’d consider them a good option as a second pair of earbuds for use when you need the benefits of the open-style design.

Verdict

The Nank Clip Super blends comfort, long battery life and surprisingly robust sound into an accessible clip-on package. They are a smart choice for active lifestyles and everyday listening without isolation.
