The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the registration process for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026. The exam is being conducted for admission to the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) for the academic session 2026-27.Eligible candidates can apply online through the official NTA website at nta.ac.in.
About NCET 2026
The NCET 2026 is being held for admission to the four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme, which is offered by selected central and state universities, including Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Regional Institutes of Education (RIEs), and government colleges.The programme is a dual major course, where the first major is Education and the second major is a school-specific subject.
NCET 2026 registration dates
As per the official notice, the important dates are as follows:Online submission of application form:
- February 12, 2026 to March 10, 2026 (up to 11:50 pm)
Last date for successful transaction of fee (through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or UPI):
- March 11, 2026 (up to 11:50 pm)
Correction window for application form:
- March 12 to March 14, 2026
Announcement of city of examination, and downloading of admit card:

Date of examination:Display of recorded responses and answer keys; declaration of result:

NCET 2026 exam details
- The NCET 2026 will be conducted in 13 languages
- The exam will be held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode
- The duration of the examination will be three hours

- Register using a valid email address and mobile number
- Fill in the application form carefully
- Upload the required documents
- Pay the application fee online
