GCCI to organise food fest to strengthen F&B sector

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) has announced that it will organise ‘The Grazer Fest’ as an annual event, with its inaugural edition scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad from Feb 27 to March 1.The three-day food festival aims to showcase Gujarat’s growing prominence in the food and beverages sector, bringing together a diverse range of brands under one roof. Sandeep Engineer, president of GCCI, said that Ahmedabad and Gujarat have emerged as key destinations for the food and beverage industry in recent years. “In our food fest, there will be more than 60 brands, ranging from street food to fine-dining restaurants, namkeens, and masala manufacturing. Some Mumbai-based brands are also going to participate,” he said.Highlighting the city’s growth prospects, Engineer added that Ahmedabad is set to witness major changes in the food sector in the coming years, especially in the run-up to the Commonwealth Games. “We will provide an opportunity to investors as well as brands to join hands,” he said.
