Ambala: A Fast Track Court on Tuesday sentenced an accused to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment, along with a fine of RS 10,000, in a case of kidnapping and a heinous sexual offence against a minor girl. The case pertained to an incident reported on January 30, 2024, within the jurisdiction of Naraingarh police station in Ambala district, where a minor girl was kidnapped. Acting swiftly, the police arrested the accused, Ajesh alias Aju, on Feb 5, 2024, and produced him before the court, which subsequently sent him to judicial custody.Following a thorough investigation, the police filed the challan before the competent court and effectively pursued the case during the trial. After examining the evidence and considering the gravity of the offence, the Fast Track Court delivered its judgment on February 11, 2026. Pronouncing the verdict, the court held Ajesh alias Aju, a resident of village Baragarh in Ambala district, guilty of kidnapping and committing a heinous sexual assault against a minor girl.
