Madhubani: Harishankar Kumar, a technical assistant posted at Panchayati Raj department in Kaluahi block of Madhubani district, was arrested on Wednesday while accepting a bribe of Rs12,000. According to the deputy superintendent of police (DSP), Vigilance, Md Wasim, a complaint was received alleging that Kumar was demanding Rs12,000 from a supplier to upload the verification report of supplied items. Acting on the complaint, the vigilance team laid a trap and caught Kumar red-handed while he was accepting the bribe amount.
