Noida: With the launch of the Noida International Airport approaching, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has issued notices to investors to expedite construction of industrial units around the area. According to a YEIDA official, Yamuna City has industrial sectors in Sectors 24, 24A, 28, 29 and 33 — all located close to the airport. Proximity to the airport has led to increased interest from domestic and overseas investors. So far, a total of 3,113 industrial plots have been allotted. Of these, construction is complete on 52 plots while 27 units have commenced production, the official said. Another 340 units are currently under construction, he added. The official said YEIDA plans to have production start in around 180 industrial units by the end of this year.YEIDA has shifted the building plan approval process online, allowing allottees to track the applications remotely. Till date, 672 companies received approval of their industrial building plans and around 50% of them have already started construction.YEIDA also spent Rs 5,500 crore on land acquisition in 2025-26 to accelerate the process. Officials said legal follow-ups in long-pending land cases also helped in easing acquisition hurdles.Investors have received possession of 1,634 industrial plots so far. The official said notices are being issued to allottees who took possession but did not apply for building plan approval yet.Data from the authority has also shown registrations of industrial plots increased in recent years. Of the 3,113 allotted plots, 2,305 — around 74% — were registered. While only 2 plot registrations were completed in 2020–21, this number rose to 156 in 2021–22, 287 in 2022–23, 683 in 2023–24, and 577 in 2024–25. In the current financial year of 2025–26, registrations already crossed 600.
