Patna: Chief justice of Patna high court Sangam Kumar Sahoo on Tuesday inaugurated 16 infrastructure projects, estimated to cost Rs 43 crore, for six district courts across Bihar.The chief justice carried out the e-inauguration of the projects from the Patna high court premises at 4:45 pm, in the presence of justices Rajeev Ranjan Prasad, Partha Sarathi, Sunil Dutta Mishra, Anshuman, Sourendra Pandey, Ritesh Kumar and Ansul.The projects include a G-plus-5 court building at Dehri-on-Sone in Rohtas district, a G-plus-3 family court building at Sheohar, a gymnasium and canteen at Banka, an amenity building at Bhagalpur, and e-Seva Kendras for the civil courts of Sheikhpura and Jamui districts.State govt law secretary Anjani Kumar Singh and secretary of the building construction department Kumar Ravi were also present during the virtual inauguration.The projects feature several modern facilities, including conference halls, dedicated toilets for men, women and transgender persons, and separate hazat facilities — secure cellular rooms designed to hold undertrial prisoners in hygienic conditions when they are produced in court during criminal proceedings.
