KUALA LUMPUR: UUE Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Konnection Engineering Pte Ltd has won two contracts with a combined value of SGD21.8 million, equivalent to about RM67.5 million, from Wee Guan Construction Pte Ltd.

The underground utilities engineering solutions provider said the contracts, for which SP PowerAssets Ltd is the principal, pertain to the supply and installation of 400 kilovolt (kV) power cables, auxiliary cables and related accessories.

It said Konnection’s scope of works encompasses a fully integrated package covering the supply of materials and the provision of manpower, equipment and tools for the installation of high-density polyethylene pipes using the horizontal directional drilling method.

“Works are expected to be completed concurrently by the end of 2027,” the company said in a statement today.

UUE said its order book has now increased to RM576.0 million with these two new contracts, underpinning solid earnings visibility for the next 24 months to 36 months.

Managing director Datuk Ting Kok Hwa said the group is seeing encouraging progress from the Singapore operations, with activities beginning to ramp up as the company deepen their engagement with Singapore’s national utility operator, SP PowerAssets. – Bernama
