Kanpur: A 60-year-old woman was allegedly bludgeoned to death by her husband in Karrahi village of Barra police station area in the city on Monday morning, police said.The accused, Sahab Rajput, carried out the crime by hitting Lalti’s head with a brick. Upon being alerted, police rushed to the spot and arrested the accused. According to police, preliminary investigation revealed that 65-year-old Sahab killed Lalti because she did not serve him dinner and morning tea.The couple had six children, including four daughters. Police said Sahab faced murder charges against his wife in 1985, after which police sent him to jail. SHO, Barra, said the forensic team and senior officers inspected the scene. The complaint had not been received yet, and legal action would be completed after receiving it.
