Now, Panchkula district court receives bomb threat

Times News NetworkPanchkula: In the wake of a string of bomb threats to the Chandigarh district court, an e-mail threatening a bomb attack was received on the official e-mail ID of the sessions judge, Panchkula district court on Monday. Police said necessary security protocols were put in place immediately after information was received. The court complex was temporarily evacuated to eliminate any potential risk to life and property.Subsequently, a thorough and systematic search of the entire complex was carried out by the dog squad, bomb disposal squad, and special police teams. No suspicious object or explosive material was found during the operation. The situation was declared safe and under control, following which security arrangements were strengthened further.Additional police personnel were deployed at all entry and exit points of the court premises, and surveillance was enhanced.Reacting to the incident, Panchkula DCP Srishti Gupta said, “Immediate action was taken as per established security procedures upon receiving the threat. The court premises were thoroughly checked, and the situation is completely safe. The cyber cell is conducting a technical examination of the e-mail. We appeal to the public not to pay attention to any rumours.”The cyber cell is investigating the source and technical details of the threatening e-mail. The district administration and police continue to monitor the situation closely, and law and order in Panchkula remains completely normal.Meanwhile, the threat disrupted routine work in the courts, where many cases could not be heard.
