Chandigarh: A 60-year-old man lost his life after getting trapped inside his burning house in Maloya on Monday. A police team which reached the spot soon after being alerted about the fire, found the charred body of the deceased, identified as Satyawaan.Initial examination revealed that both entry points of the house were bolted from inside, eliminating the possibility of unauthorised entry. On the spot inspection did not show signs of disturbance or struggle.Preliminary findings suggest that the deceased was a habitual consumer of alcohol and may have taken the extreme step himself.
