Gurgaon: After a video of a youth performing stunts on a moving SUV on Dwarka Expressway surfaced, an FIR was registered against him and the car’s driver on Sunday.According to police, the incident came to light on Feb 8. The footage circulated on social media shows a man standing through the sunroof of a Scorpio while another person drives the vehicle at high speed. Several vehicles can be seen moving slowly behind the SUV, while motorists are unable to overtake. Police said the stunt posed a serious risk to the occupants of the vehicle as well as other commuters on the expressway. The registration number of the Scorpio, DL14CJ2850, is visible in the video. However, the driver and the man seen standing through the sunroof have not been identified so far. A case has been registered at Rajendra Park police station under sections 281 (rash driving), 285 (danger or obstruction in public way) and 125 (act endangering life) of BNS. Police said notices will be issued after identification, and further legal action will follow based on findings of the investigation.Officials said strict action will be taken against those violating traffic rules and endangering public safety. Police appealed to public to avoid stunts on roads and to report such incidents with verifiable details to help enforcement agencies act promptly.
