Madhepura man held for bid to sacrifice three children
A shocking incident unfolded in Madhepura, Bihar, where Kanhaiya Kumar was apprehended for allegedly attempting to sacrifice three children at a temple. The accused reportedly lured the youngsters from a cow shelter with promises of treats. Fortunately, one child alerted their parents, leading to the man’s arrest and the recovery of a knife. He denies the charges.

Patna: A man identified as Kanhaiya Kumar was arrested in Madhepura district’s Murliganj police station area on Monday for allegedly attempting to sacrifice three children at a temple.According to the allegations made by the children’s parents, the accused took the children from a local ‘gaushala’ (cow shelter) to the temple on Sunday evening, where he planned to perform the sacrifice. However, one of the children managed to call their parents, who then informed the police.A statement issued by Madhepura police said, “The accused was caught and taken into custody. A knife was recovered from his possession, which was alleged to be used for the sacrifice. The children were lured by the accused with promises of sweets and toys. The police registered a case against the accused and are investigating the matter. The accused, however, denied the allegations during police interrogation.”
