9-year-old boy injured after attack by pack of stray dogs

Ludhiana: A pack of five to six stray dogs attacked a 9-year-old boy on Noorwala Road. As per information, the boy was playing in a plot after dinner when he was attacked. He suffered serious injuries and screamed for help. A woman who lived nearby heard his cries and came to the rescue. The injured child, identified as Rohit, was rushed to hospital. His father, Triloki, said he suffered bites on both legs and the head. He is under treatment. Meanwhile, area residents complained of persistent stray dog menace and urged the administration to take preventive action. They pointed out that lives of children in the area are at risk. Recently, a dog attacked residents of Gandhi Colony, where a boy suffered severe injuries on the face. Residents said they had raised the issue many times but to no avail. MSID:: 128068367 413 |
