For most musicians, it’s the ultimate career milestone — but it doesn’t come with a large pay slip.

Despite headlining the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, Bad Bunny will not recieve a performance fee.

The NFL has consistently held that artists who appear during the halftime spectacle are unpaid, with the league instead footing the bill for production, staging and associated costs.

An NFL spokesperson previously told Forbes that the exposure offered by the broadcast outweighs any monetary payment.

“We do not pay the artists,” the spokesperson said in 2016.
