Patna: St Michael’s High School organised a thanksgiving programme that brought together students, teachers, parents and dignitaries to reflect on the year’s achievements and express gratitude to God and one another. The event highlighted the values of gratitude and compassion through vibrant student performances and thoughtful presentations. It also featured the prize distribution ceremony for meritorious students of the 2024-2025 academic session, subject-wise awards for top performers in the school Olympiad, and special honours for dedicated teachers, including those with perfect attendance and those who completed 25 years of service.The programme began with a warm welcome to the chief guest, Sajjan R, director, secondary education, govt of Bihar, special guest Neeladri Das of the IIT-Patna and others.In his address, principal Fr A Christu Savarirajan SJ expressed heartfelt appreciation for the tireless efforts of teachers, the support of parents and the enthusiasm of students, which, he said, continued to drive the institution’s progress.G D Goenka Public School: Gaya’s G D Goenka Public School transformed its campus into a bustling marketplace during the innovative Maths Bazaar Expo. Designed to make mathematics engaging and relevant, the event saw students take charge of colourful food stalls and interactive game counters, all of which were planned, designed and managed by the students themselves.Applying real-world mathematical concepts, participants handled budgeting, cost calculation, profit and loss, estimation, pricing and basic accounting. Students procured raw materials, fixed selling prices, managed cash transactions, returned correct change and maintained detailed records of sales and expenses throughout the day.From homemade snacks and treats to creative games and activity corners, each stall reflected entrepreneurial spirit, teamwork and creativity. The lively campus, marked by bright decorations, enthusiastic young vendors and eager visitors, including teachers and parents, created a festive atmosphere. Teachers and guests praised the students’ sense of responsibility and innovation, describing the expo as a memorable hands-on learning experience.
