This decision was taken to prevent any possibility of manipulation, replacement, or misuse of answer sheet pages during the examination process. Additional chief secretary Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma issued clear instructions stating that it will be the personal responsibility of the room invigilators to ensure that every examinee writes the required details on each page of the answer booklet. Until last year, students were required to write their roll number only on the final page of the answer sheet. The new system aims to strengthen transparency and maintain the integrity of the evaluation process. Invigilators were also directed to thoroughly inspect rooms before the start of the exams to ensure that no study material, posters, charts, or written instructions that could benefit students are displayed on classroom walls, blackboards, or any visible area. The board reiterated that maintaining a fair examination environment is a coldlective responsibility of both officials and students. The board issued a strong warning against cheating and undue influence. If any examinee is found directly or indirectly attempting to cheat, gain marks unfairly, or exert pressure on invigilators or examiners, strict action will be taken. Students were also advised to write only answers to the questions in their answer books. Writing anything irrelevant may be treated as indiscipline and could invite action. Clear instructions were also issued regarding the proper use of answer booklets. Students must not tear any page from the answer sheet and must not write their name or any identifying mark anywhere inside the booklet. Except for filling in the details on the cover page, nothing should be written before the question papers are distributed. Students are advised to use both sides of the pages carefully and avoid wasting paper. A second answer booklet should be requested only after fully using the first one. Rough work, calculations, or notes should be done on the designated pages and clearly struck off afterwards. In view of the examinations, extensive security arrangements were ordered at examination centres, strong rooms and collection centres. Following a recent meeting chaired by chief secretary SP Goyal, instructions were given for special monitoring of sensitive and highly sensitive centres through STF and LIU units. Police officers were directed to conduct regular patrols and take strict action against those involved in illegal printing, publication, or circulation of misleading content and old question papers on social media.
