Singer files complaint over abduction threat

Ahmedabad: A 22-year-old singer and artist, Dharmesh Chavda, filed a complaint alleging he was threatened with abduction and physical harm over a phone call received on the night of Thursday.According to the complaint registered with Adalaj police on Friday, Chavda, who lives in Sughad, was leaving for a cultural programme linked to a temple consecration event in Makakhangam, Mansa taluka, along with fellow performers, including Kajal Meheriya and others.In his complaint, he stated that at around 9pm, he received a call on his mobile phone from an unknown number. The caller allegedly identified himself as Mohinkhan Pathan from Modhera, Mehsana. Chavda stated the caller used abusive language and threatened to attack and kill him.He said he ended the call and informed his colleague Kajal about the incident before proceeding to the programme. Chavda later travelled to his native place Patdi and subsequently approached the Adalaj police and registered a case.
