Chandigarh: Chandigarh Police personnel put up an impressive show at the 46th National Masters Athletics Championship 2026 held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, winning a total of six medals.
DGP Sagar Preet Hooda honoured the medal winners with cash rewards — Rs 20,000 for gold, Rs 15,000 for silver and Rs 10,000 for bronze.Inspector Baldev Kumar clinched a gold medal in the 4x400m relay and added three bronze medals in the 4x100m relay, 400m and 800m events.
ASI Jaswant Rai won gold in the 5000m run, while senior constable Mukesh Kumar secured a bronze medal in javelin throw.The Chandigarh Police department congratulated the athletes and said it will continue to encourage officers to participate in national and international sporting events.
