RBSE changes exam timing for some Class 12 papers

Ajmer: Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) Friday made changes in the exam schedule and changed the timing of papers for some subjects in Class 12. Board secretary Gajendra Singh said that the examination subjects such as Computer Science, Informatics and Drawing subjects will now be conducted in the afternoon shift instead of morning. The exams for these subjects will now be held from 2pm to 5.15pm instead of the earlier timing fixed from 8.30am to 11.45am.

Singh said that the exam for Computer Science and Informatics will be held on Feb 17 and Drawing will be held on Feb 24. The exam for all other subjects will be conducted as per the pre-determined schedule from Feb 12 to March 11. Candidates have been advised to prepare for the exam according to the revised timetable and reach their respective exam centres on time.Security at all centres has been heightened after 51 centres in 15 districts across the state were found to be sensitive. CCTVs will be installed, and additional police force will be deployed in all centres.Singh said that this time question papers will be kept in police stations and outposts, and responsibility for their security will be with the concerned district collector, superintendent of police, and exam conducting committee.The RBSE has started a 24-hour control room and urged students to avoid falling prey to anti-social elements who may lure them. A meeting of coordinators of the special flying squad was also conducted Friday, where instructions were given to them to maintain the heightened security.
