Chandigarh: Congress top brass, including the likes of leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Wayanad MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, AICC general secretaries and other senior leaders, on Friday joined former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Hooda and his MP son Deepender Hooda over a lunch at their residence in New Delhi.Hooda’s Friday feast is said to be a yearly exercise, and over 85 MPs, cutting across parties, attended the event, in addition to almost all the sitting and former MLAs, MPs, senior Congress leaders, and district Congress leaders of Haryana.According to information, Rahul and Priyanka spent over one hour with the Hoodas. Apart from other prominent personalities from the political world, many big names from the media also attended the event.The presence of MPs from rival political parties also attracted attention as they relished the pure, traditional Haryanvi-style food. Some senior leaders were also seen having serious discussions on contemporary issues.
