Berhampur: State rural development minister Rabi Narayan Naik on Thursday stressed on the completion of ongoing drinking water projects soon in Ganjam district and warned of strong action if any agency failed to meet the deadline.“The projects should be completed in a war-footing manner and ensure completion before the onset of the summer. If any agency deviates, we will take strong action,” Naik said, while reviewing the progress of different schemes being implemented in the district.
Reaffirming both the central and state govts’s commitment to providing clean drinking water in every rural household, Naik added, “Under the leadership of chief minister Mohan Charan Majhi, drinking water supply remains at the core of the state’s rural development agenda.”
