Lucknow: An FIR was registered against a woman primary school teacher for allegedly slapping a woman sub-inspector and attempting to tear her uniform inside Mahanagar police station area, police said on Tuesday.According to police, the incident took place on Sept 6 when the accused, Anjali, a resident of Sarvodaya Nagar in Unnao arrived at the station to register a complaint over a dispute.As per the FIR, Sanya Niranjan, the Vigyanpuri beat in charge, was on field duty when police station staff informed her that a woman wanted to meet her regarding a complaint. She subsequently returned to the station.The FIR alleges that during the interaction, Anjali became agitated and began arguing with the officer. The situation escalated when the teacher allegedly abused the sub-inspector, slapped her and attempted to tear her uniform.However, the accused woman has denied the allegations and accused the sub-inspector of not properly addressing her grievance. She claimed that after arriving at the police station, the officer became occupied with other work instead of listening to her complaint.Mahanagar Inspector Akhilesh Kumar Mishra said the case has been registered and further legal action is underway.
