College students realise AI upskilling vital

Bengaluru: Students of Vasavi Education Trust (VET) First Grade College, Thursday gained insights into using AI as a tool to enhance productivity from Shankar G Rao, chief digital and information officer, Bosch India, at the Times of India in Campus (TOIC) Partnership Talk series at JP Nagar.Shankar urged all students to develop data literacy and analytical skills. The speaker broke down the ABCs of AI for the students, explaining the relationship between AI, machine learning, and deep learning. He stressed the need to continuously upskill to stay relevant as AI becomes increasingly embedded across sectors. “Your value depends on what you can do with AI, not what you can do that AI cannot,” he said.
