Luthra brothers’ bail order likely on Feb 10

Panaji: The Mapusa sessions court is on Feb 10 likely to pronounce the bail order for Gaurav and Saurabh Luthra, owners of Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub at Arpora, where 25 people died in a fire on Dec 6.The court posted the matter on Thursday to pronounce the order, but it was adjourned until Feb 10.

Saurabh and Gaurav were arrested by a team of Goa police at immigration and flown to Goa in Dec 2025 after a Delhi court granted a two-day transit remand.The duo was detained by Thai authorities for staying in that country illegally. A special team subsequently went to Phuket to complete the deportation process.When the fire broke out at the Arpora nightclub at around 11.45pm on Dec 6, there were more than 150 tourists attending an event.A preliminary investigation by police and the directorate of fire services concluded that the fire broke out after electric firecrackers struck the wooden ceiling during the event.
