Chandigarh: Ahead of the state-level Parkash Purb celebrations of Guru Ravidas at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib, chief minister Bhagwant Mann said on Thursday that the entire council of ministers would join the community on Feb 6 to pay homage with religious fervour.He added a world-class memorial constructed at Khuralgarh at a cost of Rs 148 crore was the state govt’s tribute to Guru Ravidas. “Punjab govt is duty bound to carve out an egalitarian society as preached by Sri Guru Ravidass Maharaj ji. To perpetuate the legacy of the Guru, the Punjab govt is organising a state-level function at Sri Khuralgarh Sahib in Hoshiarpur district on Feb 6.”
Mann said the memorial is equipped with a modern building with tourist facilities, multi-level parking, Minar-e-Begumpura, Sangat Hall, a state-of-the-art auditorium, and other amenities. He said that Sri Guru Ravidass ji gave the message of the welfare of the entire humanity and equality of all sections of society. “The entire state cabinet will join the sangat to pay homage to Sri Guru Ravidass ji in this state-level function being organised at Khuralgarh,” he said, while urging people from all walks of life to participate. “I urge the entire sangat to participate in this state-level function with full religious fervour and enthusiasm,” he added.
