Jaisalmer: Two people were killed and one injured in a hit-and-run incident after a black SUV rammed into three men standing by the roadside on Banta Road in the Gudamalani police station area of Barmer district Tuesday night.Police said the Scorpio was being driven at high speed and appeared out of control. The impact threw the victims over a fence into a nearby field and also damaged a motorcycle parked nearby. The driver abandoned the vehicle at the spot and fled.
The deceased were identified as Bhanwarlal (33), a resident of Paliyali, and Ishram (55) of Rampura village in Jalore district. The injured, Devaram, Bhanwarlal’s uncle, is undergoing treatment. Gudamalani CI Surendra Kumar said the three were standing near Ramdevji temple when the Scorpio allegedly coming from wrong side, hit them.TNN
