At the same time, an FIR has been registered against the accused under the Posco Act at Lower Bazar police station. The police have arrested four accused.
Four boys were seduced by two boys in a room of Staff Quarter located in Sadar Hospital campus under Lower Bazar police station area of Ranchi. However, girls knew them in advance. It was here that the four boys carried out the incident of gang rape of girls. At the same time, the police have arrested two adult accused, while preparations are being made to send two minor accused to the child improvement home.
According to the information, both the girls were returning after seeing the Saraswati Puja immersion procession. Meanwhile, four boys, in which some were their former acquaintances, seduced them and took them to a room in the campus with Staff Quarter of Sadar Hospital and everyone in turn carried out the incident of raping both in turn.
The case was revealed when some security personnel arrived there for investigation after seeing the walk in the staff quarters. Meanwhile, two boys started running there, who were caught by security personnel. Those people told that two girls and some boys are present inside the room. After this, the security personnel informed the police of the Lower Bazaar police station. Police reached the spot and arrested the accused.
This is not the first incident of raping in a government hospital in Ranchi. Before Sadar Hospital, the state’s largest hospital is in RIMS, on January this year (January 2025), the soldier of SAP, posted under the protection of patients, carried out the rape incident with a young woman.
