Gandhinagar: More than 7,700 startups from Gujarat were incorporated as private limited companies in three years between 2023 and 2025, the Union govt informed in the ongoing Parliament session on Tuesday. State MP Dhaval Patel sought details of the total number of startups incorporated as companies in Gujarat during the period and Union govt programmes in the state to promote startup registration.In his written reply, Union minister of state for commerce and industry, Jitin Prasada, said, “In the state of Gujarat, 7,723 entities recognised as startups during the last three years — 2023, 2024, and 2025 —were incorporated as private limited companies as on Dec 31, 2025.”The minister said that the application process for startup recognition under the Startup India initiative was streamlined and made entirely digital. “To promote startup recognition and to handhold entrepreneurs, workshops are held across states and Union territories for startups, and regional stakeholders such as incubators,” the minister said in the reply.
