Udaipur World Music Festival marks 10 years

Udaipur: The Udaipur World Music Festival returns to the city from Feb 6 to 8, marking a decade of ‘music without borders’. The official poster was released Wednesday. Supported by the Rajasthan tourism dept, HZL and Seher, the festival became one of India’s most unique and special music events destinations.This edition will feature renowned Indian artists, international artists from more than 11 countries, with many performing in India for the first time. More than 20 bands and over 150 artists will take the stage over the three days. Audiences can expect a mix of folk, fusion, contemporary and experimental music. Key Indian performers include Kailash Kher and Kailasa Live, Amit Trivedi, Jonita Gandhi, Indian Ocean, Taba Chake, Amrit Ramnath and OAFF, alongside artists from Spain, Africa and Europe. Over the years, performances set against Udaipur’s lakes, ghats and heritage sites have turned the city into a living cultural venue.Seher founder Sanjeev Bhargava said, the festival’s essence lies in creating once-in-a-lifetime musical moments rooted in the city itself.
