Man killed for opposing wife’s illicit affair
In a shocking turn of events, 35-year-old Manoj Kumar Rai was discovered lifeless in Muzaffarpur, reportedly murdered by his wife and her paramour. Relatives allege that Rai’s disapproval of his wife’s extramarital relationship led to this horrifying act. Authorities believe he was deceived into a remote area where he met a tragic end.

Patna: A 35-year-old man was allegedly killed by his wife and her lover near Makhan Sah Chowk on KP Path under Town police station area of Muzaffarpur district. His body was found lying on the road with severe injuries late Tuesday night. The deceased was identified as Manoj Kumar Rai (35). His family members alleged that he was targeted for opposing his wife’s illicit relationship with a man.According to police, Manoj was found lying on the road in a pool of blood. With the help of locals, he was taken to Sadar Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Manoj had married Nishu Kumari 10 years ago. The couple has two daughters, aged seven and five.

Manoj’s mother, Munni Devi, alleged that Nishu was involved in an illicit relationship with a man working at a jewellery shop. When Manoj came to know about it and confronted her, a heated argument followed. She claimed that Manoj had obtained objectionable photos and video call screenshots of his wife and her lover. She accused Nishu and her lover of planning and executing the murder.Police said that on Tuesday afternoon, Manoj allegedly saw his wife in a compromising position with her lover, which angered him. He beat up her and asked her to leave the house. Nishu then informed her lover about the incident and left home.Later in the evening, Manoj received a phone call and went out of the house. Police suspect that he was lured to a deserted spot, where his throat was slit with a sharp weapon.Town SDPO Suresh Kumar, who inspected the crime scene, said, “Prima facie, the case appears to be related to a dispute over an illicit relationship. Based on statements and allegations from the family, police have begun an investigation. Raids are underway to arrest both the accused. The case will be solved soon. Efforts are also being made to trace the accused through mobile locations and call details.”
