Kanpur: Under the Memorandum of Understanding between the Uttar Pradesh government and Japan, a Japanese delegation visited the vegetable section of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology. The delegation, led by Tomatec Company representatives Akinori Kozaki and Shusaku Nakajima, intensively observed the ongoing research trials on the effects of micronutrients on cauliflower and radish crops at the vegetable section.On this occasion, while observing the trials, Akinori stated that the effect of micronutrients on vegetable crops was clearly visible. This will result in crops maturing and becoming ready earlier, and production is estimated to increase by 30 to 40%. He also said that early maturation of crops will fetch higher prices in the market.
During the interactive session on this occasion, Shusaku Nakajima explained that the micronutrient fertiliser prepared by Tomatec Company is used at the rate of 6 kilograms per 1,000 square metres at the time of crop sowing.On this occasion, from the university’s side, Director Research RK Yadav, Prof PK Singh, Keshav Arya, in-charge of the Vegetable Science Department, Shweta, the other scientists’ team, and other faculty members were present.
